The Pompidou Center revisits the work of Bernard Frize, an essential French painter of the international art scene, since its beginnings in 1977. Known for its abstract conceptual paintings, during the 1980s, Frize incorporates figurative elements into his practice and also interested in photography.
Six themes structure the course of Oulipian inspiration and deliberately paradoxical: "With unreason, without effort, with system, without system, with mastery, without stoppping."
