On the occasion of the 2020 edition of West Bund Online, Simon Lee Gallery is pleased to present a selection of works by artists from across the gallery programme, including Mel Bochner, Angela Bulloch, George Condo, Hans-Peter Feldmann, Bernard Frize, William Mackinnon, France-Lise McGurn, Josephine Pryde, Jim Shaw and Clare Woods.
Presented in tandem with their exhibitions at the galleries in Hong Kong and London, are works by Angela Bulloch, Josephine Pryde and Jim Shaw. Bulloch and Pryde are currently the subject of a two-person show, Sky, Rocks & Digits, in Hong Kong. In both Bulloch’s Stack sculptures and Pryde’s Hands (Für mich) series, the artists explore the interaction between technology and the human body. Deutsche Bank Wealth Management Lounge, 2020, continues Shaw’s fertile interrogation into wealth inequality in the UßS, a particularly pertinent line of enquiry for the artist given the country’s current political landscape. Shaw’s exhibition at the London gallery, Hope Against Hope, continues until 16 January 2021.
